What You Need To Know About Batt Insulation.

When people think of insulation, Batt insulation is what typically comes to mind first. Unlike spray foam insulation – Batt insulation is considered the most commonly made and used material for attic insulations in the Central Florida area. The flexible fibers of the fiberglass can fit almost any space if installed correctly. They come produced in rolls of either fiberglass and mineral wool (or rock wool).

Batt insulation is installed with a facing (kraft-faced Batts) which serves as a vapor barrier. However, in certain climates like the one we face here in Orlando – a separate, stronger vapor barrier is required. The "R-value" required depends strictly on the climate, local building codes, and the area in which you choose to insulate.

I spoke to Travis on a Sunday and the crew was here the following Wednesday. Alex literally vacuumed the yard to get the stray pieces that had spilled while Dan made sure everything was returned to how it was before they started (he had to move some stuff to gain access to the attic).
